Car just cut off.....

Whats up fellas, yesterday while I was driving, i went to give it gas and realized the car was not going any faster, then I realized the car had completely cut off right in the middle of driving, no lights came on, no check engine light and luckily I was heading towards a red light so I brought the car to a stop and put it in park at the red light and it started right back up and for the rest of the day it was fine. Pretty scary, I know this is a broad question but where should I begin? Not sure what to do but just thinking if I was on a busy high way, could have gotten ugly, any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

That definitely sounds like it could be the case, can you tell me where each one could be found? Also, how would you know if they are clogged?

Thanks

You have a 99, sounds like an ignition issue.

fsttyms1, yep, there was a recall, but I got that taken care of a couple of years ago, do you know what I can do to figure out whats wrong, it's dangerous and it makes me uncomfortable to know that my car cut off right in the middle of driving and it could happen again and I may not be so lucky.

Still could be ign. switch. The replacements will fail too, according to others on here.

This happened to me in my 03 about 2 hours after completing my tranny service, cranked back over, hasn't happened again in 3 years.

Some acura/honda shops, I gather this is a frequent problem especially on hot weather yet may be just an easy solution.
If you turn on the ignition keys and the starter just cranks but engine does not fire up (no sparks), it may be your main relay. I had this problem on my 89 legend,97 gsr and my friend's crv.
Just have one handy in your glove box and it costs around $60.

Doesnt matter. MANY have had the replacement ignition switch fail. It could still be that. If you can get your hands on a fuel pressure gauge you can test the fuel pressure and see where its running.
