Whassup pimps and pimpetts. Ok I gotta 99 TL and for some reason i'm hearing a buzzing sound coming from the rear wheels of my car. I asked my local AutoZone and they said it was some kinda ABS pump. I asked another mechanic and he said it was the vapor canister or evaporative canister solenoid. I'm not buying into either explinations for now. you guys got any ideas? Also, do you think it can affect my milage???

 

Is it coming from the Drivers side rear? Do you hear it while parked and not moving or only while moving?

 

hhmm... sounds like fuel pump? It is lounder on Chevy's,

 

I've only heard it when the car is in park weather it is started ot completely shut off. The thing is, it makes this sound like every 20-30 min. Even throughout the night. You dont hear it inside the car only on the outside. It can be heard on the left and right rear of the car, around the wheels

 

I experience the same thing and wonder if this is normal. it only does it when parked. it almost sounds like a sick cow mooing and its intermittent, like every 10 or so minutes, just as talibanracer69 described.
