Never Summer

Hey guys. I am hoping to get a quick reply here. Today I noticed when I was going to get lunch and head to work that when I would apply the brakes the red light would come on, and about 3-5 seconds after I released them it would go away. After getting lunch and heading back to work it didn't do it at all, but then on the way home from work and on the way to get dinner it did it at every light. The owners manual said it could be as simple as low fluid levels, which judging from the fact there wasn't any difference in pedal feel I would assume would be the case. If it makes any difference, it's about 4°F here, which is cold as balls. Could that effect the viscosity of the brake fluid causing the light to come on? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would recommend looking at the fluid level like the manual stated. Also make sure the float on the cap moves freely.
