Check fluid level, reservoir float, and brake pads.

I looked @ the fluid level & it looks pretty close to min. The manual says the level should be between the MIN & MAX marks. How do I check the reservoir float as well, brake pads?

ok,, if the fluid level is at MIN and not up to the filler neck, (the book lies, between is not cool- max is correct), anything less tells you something is happening
Level goes down slightly as the pads all wear down, but not down to Min!!

the fluid has either gone into the calipers because the pads are worn WAY WAY down..do you get a screeching noise on light braking?
OR
you have a fluid leak somewhere, a line or caliper seal are possible

Do NOT add fluid at this point- do a full brake inspection by removing the wheels
and maybe remove the calipers from bracket, to make sure what parts you need

NOTE: when you push the caliper pistons back in- to install new pads, it forces that extra fluid back up the line, where it CAN overflow the res, especially if you have added some when it was really low~

brake fluid eats paint,, so avoid that!!

Its time to flush the brake fluid while you are doing the brake job anyway

On 4/11/11 I had my car serviced at Bakersfield Honda dealership. I had them replace the Front & Rear Pads and Front & Rear Rotors. I took it back on 5/13/11 due to my brakes again. They found all 4 Brake Rotors were warped, they machined all 4 brake rotors. Now its going to be August. I don't ride my brakes or anything in that sense. When I looked @ the Fluid level once more today I took the top off and it was pretty much all the way up. What I mean by this is, if I pour more brake fluid I would image it to overflow. Any suggesting would be greatly appreciated.

the dealer replaced the rotors and then resurfaced them 1 month later?
sounds like a bad tech inspection and repair was done

go in and speak with the service MANAGER about the onging problem
and they removed 2 years of life from brand new rotors- they owe you new rotors like you had just paid for!

something is wrong- you pay to have the dealer do the job right- is the theory of why you use the dealer!!! if a junior tech is working on your car and service writer doesnt convey past work and current issue to the tech
(usually doesnt happen- leave a note for tech with details when your car in for anything)

your car needs a real tech who can look and diagnose actual cause of problem,
not the oil change guy who completed his basic brakes class,, and let loose on your ride

The float inside the master cylinder cap sticks when cold. Make sure it moves freely.

^He's on it. There's a TSB for my 01 TL it involves replacing float/res cap, and the filter housed within the master cylinder.
