Bad ignition relay?
Bad ignition relay?
Hi,
was running errands the other day all over town and stopped at a friends house for a little while. Got back in my 2002 TL and the car did not even crank after multiple attempts. Had to leave it there for a couple hours until I came back trying to diagnose it. While I was under the steering column I tapped on what I assumed to be the ignition/starter relay with my phone and it worked? Got it back home and removed what I tapped on and it turned out to be the turn signal relay. I repeatedly started the car on and off again and out of the 8-9 or so times that I did, it failed once. I have no idea what is causing this, really need help because I don't want it to fail when I'm not in town.
Thanks

Starter. Same thing happened to me a few years ago. Carry a hammer/pipe n your trunk. Next time it happens, hammer the side of the starter. It gets the starter off the ‘dead spot’ and it will start. Old Chevy trick.
