Bad Idle
hello all;
I have a 1999 Acura TL with about 145,000 on her. I have tried several times to reset the Idle through the 10 minute ECU idle trick to no avail. It idles from about 1,000 to 2,000. when in park or neutral. in drive it idles steady but quite high around 1,500. Trade in value for this beast is 3,000 dinero. So I guess I will take it to Mr Acura dealer for a diagnostic check. any one have any Ideas what could be wrong?

Are you saying the idle fluctuates (goes up and down) when in park or neutral?
If so, clean or replace the idle air control valve (IACV). It's attached to the throttle body and can be removed and cleaned with carb cleaner.
Personally with that many miles and considering you've probably never had it cleaned before, I'd just replace it.
