Anyone get PIAA 9005/9006 bulbs?
Anyone get PIAA 9005/9006 bulbs?
Well I just got my PIAA piss yellow bulbs over the weekend and when I went to go install them into my high beams, they wouldn't fit all the way... i was like
and compared the PIAA's with the stock and i noticed that the rubber sealing was a lot thicker on the PIAA's. I tried to force the bulbs in and finally i said fock it, and simply took off the rubber and put the bulb in. i made sure it was a tight fit, but...
you guys think it'll condensate inside?
Also I didn't want to take the stock rubber sealing off cuz it looked dried out and thought it might rip.
For those who don't know what I'm talking about, it's in white in this picture:

I had the same problem with one of my HID fog light bulbs. Not PIAA though. I took the seal from the old bulb and used it on the new one. It fit pretty tight.
Without the seal it may condense even if its tight. Try bringing the seal to a hardware store and see if they have anything a little bit thinner.
