Any tips for removing and replacing the windshield? or a favorite and reputable DIY video?

thank you because I can’t afford to pay for a new windshield just for my thousand dollar car to pass inspection. I’ve learned a lot about repairing your own cracks (after the fact though)

 

I mean; a very simple google search or youtube search will bring up MANY MANY MANY videos about removing a windshield.

basically, you remove all trim. plastic and rubber.
and then use a tool to help cut/remove the glue. the tool is basically a wire...which you slip in between the windshield and basically saw off the glue.

then lift the windshield out.

 

^ this guy uses a wire to slip in between the windshield and interior to saw off the glue.



^this guy uses an electric saw with a scraper attachment to hit the inside of the glue, to scrape the glue off.




^this guy uses a tool called a cutting wire



^this guy just uses a hand saw to cut through the glue
