your "windshield wipers" have scuff marks........

I'm going to answer that question exactly how it was asked....
1)buy new wiper housings
2)paint them back black

He said his windshield has scuff marks from the wipers, not the wipers themselves, although it couldn't hurt to replace them as well. Take it to a windshield repair place, and they should be able to buff those out for about $50.

I know of the ones here locally, but they really are just called glass repair shops. They coat the affected area with a resin, then polish it down. Most of the DIY stuff at Kragen/AutoZone doesn't work, so I wouldn't waste my money on it.

It could be the glass isn't prefectly clean.
Try a single-edge razor blade and soapy water. Use the blade like you are trying to take a thin slice out of the glass.
