Another TL Wiper Problem
Another TL Wiper Problem
I have a 2002 TL with 62K miles on it. Lately, when using the wipers, I noticed that they have started traveling too far in both directions. That is, when all the way "up" the wiper blade on the driver's side actually touches the side windshield seal, and when all the way "down" the passenger's side wiper blade does not stop at the bottom of the windsheild, but it actually travels down onto the bottom seal. The passenger's wiper arm also "bangs" against the underside of the hood. It doesn't make any difference whether they are on "intermittent", "low" or "high" speed. There's no extraordinary amount of play in the wiper arms. The service manual does not show that there is any kind of adjustment that can be made. Has anyone else had this problem? If so, what was required to fix it.
mine do the same thing, im just tired of fixing thing on this piece of shit car. heres a thread that might help you.

First, thanks for the feedback. I went ahead and took it to my local dealer. They are telling me the same info that is in the thread...linkage bushings are worn out. Price to repair: $316 (YEOWWW!).
I think American Honda is going to get a letter on this one. This car has just not spent that much time in the rain or snow with the wipers in use. I've owned a lot of cars over the years, some of which had well over 100K miles on them, without this problem.
