Amp And Woofer Help!
I installed an 800 watt xplod amp and one 12 inch woofer, i still have the stock radio and stock speakers, the stock woofer and amp were disconnected and i ran the lines to the new amp. It seems that the amp is taking all the juice out of my battery and it kills it. what can i do.. is a capacitor good for just one amp and one sub?

its not a capicitor you need... from what i can understand it sounds like you have your amp hooked up to a constant power source thats eating up your battery power when the cars turned off.

Dont hook the amp Power to teh fuse box. Try changing the remote turn on. But if you say that the amp goes off when you shut the car off i think something else is causing it. It sounds like the amp or something is still drawing power when off

do you guys think it might be the amp, hyper white foglights and everything else normally on when driving at night? maybe all that draws too much power.. everything is stock exept for the sub, amp, foglights and LEDs on the door and dome lights?

its about 2 years old, when the car runs the voltage is 13 volts or higher when i shut if off take the key out and leave the lights on, they shut off after like 10 seconds, when i try to start it the starter is really slow and barely starts the car. im in Iraq right now, i should be home in 2 months, i will get my car a new battery n tune up when i get back. i miss my baby

Sounds good
I would try one other thing before you replace the batter.
(1) Disconnect the power source from the amp (actually remove the power cord from the amp), and start the car that way.
(I would also remove any other cables that are connected to the amp, but that's just my style of work.)
Removing the power cord from the amp guarantees that the amp is not in play what-so-ever when you are starting the car.
[I]Try having your batter recharged to its full capacity (You might be able to do that for free at most major auto part retailers; 'Pep Boys, Auto Zone...')[/I}
(2) If that works, than try starting the car with the amps power connected again.
If the problem reappears you know the problem is the battery feeding more power to the amp then it could spare.
---------
PS: I hope your problem is that simple.
