Alternator, Battery and A/C Compressor all failed at the same time...
About a week ago I went to the local drag strip just to see how fast I could run(completely stock). Then a few days later I noticed the car acting funny at Idle and just all around sluggish. Then my battery Died followed by my alternator locking up and a/c compressor began to make lots of noise (like rocks bouncing around under the hood when i turned on climate control). Anyone else ever had this problem? Could it have been the high RPM's? I've recently converted to a car from previously owning trucks and jeeps and doing the lifted off=road thing. My logic behind this was I would not feel the urge to modify it... but I couldn't help to feel a few upgrades wouldn't be a bad thing and I wanted to get a base line for how fast it was just to see if I could tell a difference later on. Anyway if anyone knows why this might have occurred and knows a fix for it, I would love to hear it... or do I just have really bad luck?
Welcome to the world of acurazine!!
what year is your car and current miles?
Did you leave the AC/ any part of the climate control turned on when you went for the fun run?
Many of us buzz to redline or near it frequently without issue, but if the parts were headed for the door- high revs will hasten that.
Get a mechanics stethascope $5 and listen to the bearings in each parts for a growling noise.
Since you are new to the TL, here is a link for the owner manual- lots of operating tips in it- max speeds allowed for upshift and downshift in sport-shift mode, How to disable the AC and get interior fan only

Its a 03 TL-S with 105000, After Replacing all the aforementioned parts its running better than ever. I think they were just on there way out and I just helped them go a little faster haha. But now I'm hooked on modding it. I'm Seafoaming it tonight, and I just started my engine cover painting job using the DIY section. Hopefully Cold Air Intake and Pulleys by the end of the month. So much for keeping it stock... Oh well I've never been one to let anything stay stock for long.
