Alignment Issue

Went to NTB today to take advantage of the free wheel alignment and brake check and they told me that the rear camber can not be ajusted. my passenger side wheel is wearing on the inside and that i would have to take it to a place that fixes frame. has anyone had this problem?

Hey Charles. Regarding the P/S wheel, this could be the result of a previous collision.

Regarding the rear, NTB is right. The camber cannot be adjusted. If you are lowered, you can make up for the lack of camber adjustment by installed a camber kit, or asking the alignment tech to dial in negative tow for you in the rear.

If your suspension is bone stock, and the alignment shop is saying that they can't bring it back to OEM specs, that sounds like trouble. Go to another alignment shop, and ask them about it. Also, ask them to give you a printout of the specs after the alignment.

Get a 2nd opinion, and if you are having wear on your tire because the alignment specs are out of spec you probably have something bent and you will need to find what needs to be replaced.

Thats exactly what NTB said that it might be bent so i would have to take it to a shop that specializes in bent frames or suspensions.I will get back as soon as i find out what was wrong.

Sorry i took to long getting back but it turned out being a bent trailing arm on the right rear suspension.the shop used some type of jack and got it back but told me to keep a eye on it,also to bring it back so they could check it.i spent 150 on the labor and alignment, they also told me if i replace the part they would install part and do another alignment but only charge for the labor since they didnt completely fix it.

In U.S you have to go to some sort of a state government regulated shop to do your e.test and safety? Or is it just a licensed shop?

I used to go to a regulated shop but the last 2 times they it not pass because of my tint so i went to a place across the street from them and didnt have any problems.another shop told me he would turn off the check engine light but i should have it fixed by then. im looking at a little over $300 to replace it,if i go to the dealer well you know that wont happen they want a arm and leg.
