Airbag Light On!

Any ideal what maybe causing this? I was driving and it came on and now it won't go off? Is airbag covered under warranty for life of the car or does it at with bumper-to-bumper warranty?

Just to clarify this is the red SRS light on the dash which is different from the Side Air bag light.

Also my car is 2002 TLS with 63k miles.

if im not mistaken parts are covered to 80k. there is a warranty extension on a part that would cause that to come on. Bring it to the dealer to see whats wrong. (as none of your airbags work when that light is on)

It is covered by the extended warranty (letter sent out by Acura in May)

I have a '00 TL and this happened to me. I lived with it for nearly an year and then got this letter in the mail wherein Acura was covering this under warranty for 10 years. I went to the dealership and they diagnosed the problem - it turned out be some SRS module and I was charged nothing.

However, if the underlying cause is different, be prepared to pay for it. And they can't figure out what the cause w/o going under the hood.
