Adjustment of the e-brake

I could drive for miles with my e-brake nearly fully engaged. Can it be adjusted so upon, say, 1/4 depression the wheels lock?? In impending doom, that e-brake isn't going to stop anything...

(P.S. rant... I WANT A HAND BRAKE!!!1 - who the heck puts foot pedal e-brakes in wanna-be "sports sedans"... geezzz)

Yes there is an "star" adjuster wheel for the ebrake
Its located inside the rear rotors center hub at the bottem-behind the rubber plug
- there is a mini set of drum brakes inside of there.
If its not working- you need to inspect before adjusting or you
could just be shoving metal on metal- the pads are small and thin.
Replacement- I have not done- looked painful-

Kris- anyone -???
done the replacement ebrake shoes?

RE: rant

Its mounted down there so you dont kill yourself trying front wheel drive
e brake turns and burnouts

Its a 4 door sports sedan with an automatic- want a handbrake? buy a gen 3 with 6mt!!

In Addition- its called a PARKING BRAKE not Emergency braking system- you will see why when you check the pads- they wont stop a Big Wheel

That explains her small shoes then- so dainty they are- used only for formal occassions!

And my point of defining the actual role of the part was because of your comment that it wont help you in an emergency- you are correct Sir! It Wont!

Follow 01tl4tl instructions for adjusting the parking brake shoes(making sure that the wheel spins freely) there is also an adjustment by the foot pedal as well to take out the slack on the cable if it gets stretched.

And for your add the CL-S6 console mounted parking brake handle. Its not hard to do. it could be done in a sat afternoon sipping on some beers.
