Exclamation The acura wont start all of a sudden! Help

Ok so im coming from the bank on my way home and i forgot i needed some some quarters from the store. The car was running good regular as usual.
I turned the car off and went in the store, came out and try to start the car and all i got was a "click"....the lights that were on was the brake light indicator, TCS, battery, and oil light...everything as far as power worked fine.. i stepped on the brake and it got real stiff and the power steering went, it was hard to turn the steering wheel.

What the hell can this be.

I just got some new rotors and the people told me i needed a new front left CV joint and they said if that goes bad the car won't start, is that true?

Please help

Jennifer,

Sounds like the ignition switch, which depending on the year of TL, is a TSB (or recall) for replacement. When you turn the key to "Start" does the engine crank? Have you tried jump starting to rule out a bad battery? Have you noticed symptoms of a worn battery, such as the engine cranking slowly?

I don't think it would be the battery since i bought a new one a few weeks ago because of the engine was cranking slow..
The car just Clicks like one click when i try to start it. The power steering doesnt work nor does the power brakes, its really hard when i press the breaks...

power steering and the brakes will be hard to use since the engine is not running. check the connetions of the battery cables, if theyre loose, all youll get is a single click since youre not getting a good connection.

sounds like the battery is dead. You may want to have your alternator checked, especially if you just put in a new battery.

This is what my car sounded like when the battery was dead.
