I have a 99 TL no navi. The Climate Control system only blows HOT air. This is regardless of the setting. With everything turned off HOT air is still passed thru the vents. The temp gauage reads in the middle or just below middle of the normal range. I have found a couple of posts referring to a wire coming from the firewall being stuck. I hate to go to the shop if I can fix this myself. Any suggestions on things I can look for would be appreciated.

 

I am not sure if 99s had the cabin air filter-
If so- remove the glovebox and check the fan motor area for a plastic "door" thay may be stuck
Some of them are vacuum powered or cable, I am just trying to point you in a direction.
