i have an 02 with Navi, and for some reason my heat or ac wont stay on. if i push auto or any of the buttons on the screen, it comes on for about 3 seconds and then stops, but the "auto" button stays lit until i push "off". does anyone have a solution to this problem? i really dont want to take my car to Acura and have them charge me an Arm and Leg for a simple fix so any help is appreciated!

 

What do you mean ”and then stops”? The fan quits, or ?

 

thats where to start--does the fan work at all or for the few seconds?
ck out the power connector just under glovebox door-
it likes to melt or loosen the connections,,acura has a kit with longer wires to lessen stress on connector- 20$

may need to inspect back of connector and open it to see burn damage
Next is the resistor for the fan- mounted on fan base plate inside the finned thing
then the fan itself- power good to it? spins by hand?
