ABS Code 31-02
ABS Code 31-02
So my ABS and TCS light has been kicking on the last few days. ( intermittently and after I have been driving for about 20 mins). I took it to get the codes read. It came up with 13-01 Left Front Wheel Sensor ( I know what that is) and 31-02 right front inlet solenoid valve malfunction. I have no clue what that even means. I called a guy that only works on hondas and said it was just a wheel sensor. Any idea what it means, or what I have to do to fix it.
welcome to acurazine- this is the right place for help!
the sensor is easily damaged during brake work or strut change
or its wires rot away in certain weather conditions
not too many $$ iirc, 50? who has a current price? ask your tech- its a basic diy
do the left sensor then clear the ecu by pulling the CLOCK fuse on passenger end of dash (open door to access end of dash) after 1 minute put the fuse back in
that's easier and safer than the neg batt cable removal method
the clock fuse is the secret backup power to the ecu-
drive and retest for codes if needed
do an active test of the ABS in gravel or wet roadway, from 45mph stomp the brakes like a semi just pulled out in front of you!!! turn the steering wildly- it should stay stable in braking and brake pedal will shake under your foot as it operates
How long since brake fluid flush? every year is recommended and every 3 years is max between times
