Searched the forum but nothing on the outside temperature display. Mine is working but not accurate and when it gets around 32 it's nice to know wet roads are suspect.

Is there a way to adjust/calibrate? Should the tc be replaced? Where is it?

 

how far off is it? You can calibrate it but only a few deg up or down. You turn the key to run, then push and hold the trip and reset buttons in for about 10 seconds. from there you should be able to use the buttons to adjust up or down .

 

Thanks, got it closer to the current 36 degrees but not sure if my error is linear (ex.: off by 4 at 36 but off by 8 at 76). Going to have to wait a few months to find out.

FYI for everyone else: with the key in the run position I held the trip and reset for about 10 seconds then the temp display started progressing through 1, 2, 3, -3, -2, -1, 0, 1....giving you the option of what you want to add or subtract from the curent set point. Release when you get to the number you want. Mine was 4 degrees high so I settled for -3.

I tried turning the car off and did the procedure again to get another -1 adjustment but it wouldn't take, it still knew my original setting and was going to allow me to adjust from that again.
