99 TL Trunk CD Changer Error Code EEE
My cd changer quit playing last week. When switching to it it seems like it would play, from the speakers you hear something like a "jolt" of current but after a few seconds waiting it displays error code EEE. Now I cannot even take out the magazine, it's just not functional at all. It sucks coz the indash wont play any cd that's not original. what it do???!!!
I couldn't find anything using the forum search engine since "EEE" is too sort of a term.
But a Google search turned up the following thread:
https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6477
Here's an extract:
Pull out the radio fuse. Double check your manual, but on the '01 TL it's on the passenger side, right row, top 20 amp fuse. Leave it out for a few minutes (until the Anti-Theft light on your radio goes out) then put it back in. If the EEE or --- doesn't clear, leave it out for 20 minutes.
It worked for me.
NOTE: You will have to reset all your radio station presets.
Good Luck!
Bob
