Have a 99 TL and one of the head lights have given up on me. High beam works ofcourese. I am trying to figure out if its just the bulb or the relay. How can I be sure before i Start spending money ? Where do i get instruction on changing the bulb?

 

Becarefull when you taking out the bulb for a check cuz you might break the spring man. I think there is a DIY in this section about how to changing the light bulb. Just wana give you a headup on the springs lol

 

there is a 1 armed clip that secures the bulb in place- you have to move it out of a detent and then to the side to release it
then the bulbs slides straight out- note position of external electrode rod- must go back in the same way

Try swapping bulbs left to right, but chances are good its just time for new bulbs
Many gen2 are already on them
Was there pink tint on first turning on lights recently?

Warning- the correct bulbs are $110 per pair at Excelerate, or $175 each at dealer
Cheapo bulbs are not the right kind!!!

Always wear rubber or latex gloves when handling bulbs- or wipe them off with paper towel soaked with rubbing alcohol
oil from your fingers causes hot spots and kills bulbs
