i have a 99 TL....i've recently gotten it as a hand-me down from my uncle..but my uncle pretty much screwed it up..and im trying to make it brand new..

1. Driver's Door looks like it isnt closed all the way..but it is..its like sticking out
2. Car shuts off everytime i let go of the gas..but turns right back on after
3. i believe my tranny's dying..but i dont know...my car's been shifting pretty hard lately..and before it shifted..it would rev up alittle to about 3 or 4k RPMs then shift roughly

 

hmm id get that looked at, trannys prolly going and can be a safty hazard, and same with the engine shuttin off. that cant be good

 

whats up dog. heres the deal 99-02 TL have a bad tranny. and its pretty much for sure going to need to be replaced. just depends on when. i recently bought my 99 used and i had a tranny problem but it was just a lifter not my whole tranny. with your engine turning off and on my homie had the same problem i can't remember what it was off the top of my head and if your car restarts right away then it shouldn't be so bad. i'll try to figuire out what it is and holla back.peace
