99 TL Cooling fan won't come on

Hello All:

I have a 99 TL with a overheat problem. Neither fan comes on when expected, if at all. The passenger side one comes when the gauge goes over the mid point (some times). It usually takes at least 30 minutes before the hitting the midpoint. Before that it stays a couple of ticks below mid. Both fans will come on if the A/C is on. They don't run when the car is turned off.

I have replaced the fan, coolant temp sensor, fan switch, and radiator cap. I have not replaced the relays as the fans work when the A/C is on. This leads me to believe that they are OK. Is that a good assumption? I have tried burping the car but I dont think this is effective since I cant get the fan to come on as mensioned in the burping instructions.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Did you ever figure out what the problem was?
