2003 tls (noise in cabin)
so, here is the deal: purchased last june, 196k, no major issues, many updates, t belt, w pump, tensioner, plugs, a/c belt, p/s belt, coolant, p/s flush, brake fluid flush, reseal oil pump, replace oil pan (drain plug strped) pass side eng mount, trans 3x service twice, external trans filter, tires, alignmnt, drivers door check, brake pedal pad, hood struts, pcv valve, manifold and egr service. blower motor, cabin filters, air bag recall 7521H1, f&r pads and rotors, etc/etc/, i love this car, white pearl/ black. currently my only issue one of annoyance. i've searched this forum for clues, but found nothing related to this issue: current miles @208k, there is a NOISE in the cabin. the noise occurs only when turning and sounds exactly like something is loose inside the glove box, it's like. picture the glove box as being empty, except for lets say a small 6" mag light style flashlight laying in the bottom. every time you turn, the flashlight slides from one end of the glove box to the other creating this noise. the noise almost sounds something like a pendulum suspended but hanging freely under the dash and when the car turns, the pendulum slides to the right or left and makes the noise. there is nothing in the glove box. i removed the glove box, both a/c vents, the pass side air bag, the cabin filters, the blower motor, center console, radio/nav and i can find nothing out of order? listening with a stethoscope. the noise sounds like its coming from the area between the nav screen and the glove box? the noise is loud enough so that if i put my phone in the glove box, leaving the glove box open and drive the car i can record it! any one have an idea as to where to look?

Open your hood and look at the shock towers. You're looking to see if the top hat is center or not to the shock towers. If not centered or not symetrical then the top hat bearing is worn out.

Im thinking cv axle bearing noise
is it with the wheels turned hard- and slow speed = you hear click click click?

tx for the response 01tl4tl, no, its not an axle type noise, it occurs on a mild turn, such as when entering or exiting an expressway ramp, or turning into a parking space in a parking lot etc. it's not a click type noise. lets say the glove box shock was not attached, and as the car turns in either direction the shock hits the side of the glove box or the dash support as it swings from side to side. i'm going to remove the glove box this w/e, have someone else drive the car and try to pin-point the origin.

Removing the glove box was going to be my 2nd suggestion, also you might try opening the passenger door and giving it a good hard shake back and forth. Did something fall inside the door panel?
Have you noticed any problems with the heat/ac blower? Does it make any noise when going from fresh to recirculate (and does it do that properly)?

ck those sway bar end links, I found one bad on my 01-
bad control arm one side, broken end link on the opposite
You already did a ck of each bushing on the control arms?
and bushings for the shock absorbers?
are you running stock suspension?
Imagining possible noises: look in the panel at bottom of windshield- exterior.
If a nut, rock or something got thru the grill, it would roll back and forth!
The fresh air vent inlet is inside that panel = noises transfer~
Anyone who changed their cabin filter knows what a strange array of items can get in
