2003 TL Type S Heated seat not working

2003 TL Type S Heated seat not working

My drivers side heated heat quit working. The fuses are ok. Anyone have any ideas?

Heater element wires often burn open in one or more places.

Ohm out the seat heater connector under the seat.... if you get a HUGE resistance reading- it needs a new pad.

Seat has to be taken apart, leather removed and then you need to install a new seat heater pad. BTW the new ones are updated designs.

About 5 ohms was what I measured a good one to be.

read the thread- Seat Heat fixed for $3

A new pad is going to cost a lot more than that- all you have to do is repair a broken wire
Its like an electric blanket, a bunch of wire with current pumped thru it
