2003 TL-S front suspection squeak when cold
2003 TL-S front suspection squeak when cold
My car is 2003 TL-S relatively trouble free at 135,000 miles. I now notice slow speed squeak from front suspension while taking out of driveway or on bumps but only when cold. After warm up or at highway speeds, I donot hear anything.
My initial thought is Lower ball joint but not sure. Has anybody experienced such issue?

Hey Nishant11, With a 10 year old car and over 100k on the dial, your car's suspension is starting to show signs of wear. With a good ear, you'll hear it calling for help ! It may be the time to start looking around.......if unsure, take it to an alignment shop for an evaluation check-up and estimate for needed repairs. Report back on specifics before being taken to the cleaners, as some of the shady shops thrive on the over-kill !
The ball joints and sway bar end links will be on top of the list. Next, the struts and control arm bushings. My upper ball joints went at about 150k, bottoms at 170k. Depends on the roads traveled and if the car is lowered. Also, a "squeak" that goes away as the car is run may indicate worn wheel bearings. Usually one thing goes, then something else !
