2003 Acura TL Recommended Aftermarket Upgrades

Hi I bought an Acura TL a month ago with problems in the transmission for $800. 163k miles. Minor problems. Drove immaculately. Cold start of course but i believe i needed a new battery. I was planning on making this car a really nice looking import and would really appreciate all and everyone advice and help in making this happen. I will post pic and vids and also am hoping to become a part time mechanic. Staring with my first Acura. Love this car. Smooth and comfortable. Nice sound system. My friend drove my car in D1 up a 70 mph road and threw a piston through the oil pan. Guys I've been looking everywhere and I dont wanna be a quitter. I'm gonna do whatever it takes and however i have to so it to make my baby back ok again. Please help me lol. I've a All Japanese used car parts here in town which is great and can get a used motor and oil pan for $450. Thing is, will that solve my problem? Go ahead and replace renny also? The car caught fire for a little bit he said after it did some serious knocking and stopping.

Moved to proper forum.

And ^^^ no way. You'd hit the rev limiter way before you got to 70 mph

Sounds fishy to me. There has to be more to the story. Anyway, throw a 3.5L motor in it along with an 06-07 Accord transmission.

Your friend is a dumbass.

I can believe it if he was driving at 70MPH and then dropped it into 1st.

Get a used J32/J35 and a new friend and do the 06/07 trans as Iggy mentioned.

If you want it to look nice you could start with the OEM body kit and trunk wing. If you want it to look like an import you'll need to convert the Acura emblems to Honda and place 'Inspire' on the trunk.
