2002 Tl S Replacement ECU
I need help 2002 tl s rebuilt transmission out or warrenty Nov 2009, now getting p0700 code. I took it back to A plus transmission who did the rebuild, they tell me I need a new ECU, which they did not replace during the rebuild so not covered under their warrenty.
I called Sterling Mccall Acura parts department they gave me a part number of 37820-pxg-a52, but the one in my car is 37820-PGE-a58. The local junk yard had 37820-pge-a58, which one should I get. When I install the new ecu does it have to be programmed by the dealer, and how much does it normally cost to due the programming?
I saw a used pxg-a52 on eaby for $150, with a warrenty, the car has 180000 miles so not interested in a new one from the dealer. Any issues with a used ECU?
Thank You

37820-PGE-A62 is the latest for an 02-03 TL/CL-S. If you already have a working ECU & are adventurous & have some electrical experience, just transfer/solder your immobilizer chip from the old ECU to the new one.
