2002 TL - Memory Seat function doesn't work
I've seen many posts about problems with memory seats, but mine seems different. I bought my TL 3 days ago and I love it. I was disappointed last night when I finally had a chance to set the memory seat function, and it wouldn't work. Nothing happens when I press the red memory button (no beeps, no lights, nothing - yes, it was in park) When I press the memory 1 or 2 buttons, no beeps or lights either. I was thinking it could be a couple of things
-It's not connected
-A fuse has blown
-It's broken
All other features of the car work fine, so I was wondering in terms of the fuse option, is it on it's own fuse?
My car is no longer under warrenty as it is over the mileage limit.
If anyone has any info or suggestions, I'd really appreciate it.

i don't have the manual infront of me, but if you look at yours, it tells you in the back all the fuses, i think it has a fuse or is shared with something. now if its not the fuse, maybe the door panel was taken off to take out a stereo and they forgot to hook it back up. door panel is easy to take off, screw in the hanle, and just kinda shimmy/pull it up, but be careful b/c you have all the wires connected from the panel to the door.
Thanks for the tip about the fuse index in the manual. Apparently the memory seats share a fuse with back up lights and instrument panel which both seem to be working fine. I will try removing the door panel to see if the wires are connected.
It's fixed!
Thanks for the advice. My husband was able to fix over the weekend. He removed the small panel in the door that the memory seat buttons and the main lock switch is part of (one screw) and connect the wires and like magic it works. Love it!!
