2001 Overheating
Hey guys,
I have a 2001 TL with 143,000 on it and it has been a great car for me. Just in the past day or two it has been heating up to the point where the dash indicator is 3/4 the way up to the red line. It had usually never barely made it over halfway. Any ideas??? Thanks.

If the needle is not 1 click below halfway, have it checked out. As mentioned above, it could be a couple of things:1) radiator fan switch (idle the car for about 15 and make sure the fan kicks on)
2) time for a fluid change
3) radiator cap going bad
4) thermostat going bad
