2000 Acura TL Pas. side low beam headlight flicker
The passenger side low beam headlight is flickering on our 2000 Acura TL. I've seen this thread written up here before but I can't find it now. What is the current thinking on this: replace the bulbs with aftermarket lamps or change over to one of the retrofit kits? Thanks for any help you can give us!

Chances are that the low beam headlamp is worn out. Remove the old D2R "HID" bulb and replace it with a known good one. If it acts the same or does not work, there's other issues. Check the general area and connections for any signs of moisture or corrosion. If there is moisture, it will cause problems with the old original HID components.
But, for now....ya may only need a pair of new bulbs to replace the old ones with. Check the 2nd Gen's "DIY" sticky and search for past related threads. For about the same money as two new D2R bulbs, approximately $100...ya could replace the entire OEM "HID" set-up. Read the other posts on installing new replacement kits.
