2 Lights on the dash.

Well i recently bought a 2000 acura TL, and no lights were on at time of purchase, and now the D5 light is blinking, i've read this has to do with the tranny, the people i bought it from said they had the tranny replaced about a year ago, i checked the fluid, the level seemed fine, and its not shifting hard, or slipping so i have no idea what is wrong. Also the SRS light came on too, any ideas?

Acura/honda dealers can pull the SRS right? Can regular garages too or just acura? and roughly how much does it cost to just get a code pulled?

The SRS Code reader its a Honda Mechanic tool only.. There are Generic Readers out there if your lucky a Suspension or Body Shop could pull those up but I would not bet on it.

SRS Pull Codes are Expensive last time I tried to Pull those on my local Stealership they wanted 90 bucks just to read the codes! They would not charge it tought if I fixed the problem with them.

Check the "DIY" sticky....there's a reset procedure for the SRS. Try it and see if it clears the light. If not, then ya may have something else going on that needs checked with the system. When the SRS light is on, your airbags are inoperative.

I just did the SRS light reset thing posted online. Very easy to do. My light is off for now so we will see if it stays off.

I'm sure there are other thread but I just used the info here to do it.
