03 Type-S...problems first day of owning...help!
First off want to say hello, and have been a fan of the 02-03 type s for a while now. With gas prices the way they are and with me driving a 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer SS with lots of "go-fast" goodies installed my wallet is taking a beating with gas.. So I decided it's time to make the SS a "toy" 2nd vehicle and get me a sedan for everyday driving.
found a NICE 2003 TL Type-S w/ 73,000 miles and after some negotiating I got the price to where I wanted it plus warranty. I signt the papers hand them check and im off.
6 miles down the road engine starts sputtering and misfiring and im gettin little "knocking" sound from under black engine cover towards the left side. VSC light comes on as does the "triangle" lookin light with "!" sign in it. Take it back to dealer and tech hooks up computer. Reads P0301-05 Engine/cylinder misfire. Manager said he would take care of me and that he has had several problems lately with the new porter getting "too close" with the high pressure hose when cleaning engine bay. Coil packs and plugs/wires getting messed up..
Could this be the cause of my problem??? was kinda pissed about all this as i haven't even put 10 miles on it yet. Warranty is covering everything so thats not an issue. I just want to know what the hell the problem is ?? THANKS GUYS!!!!

got to be really easy with water in the engine- our coils have enough problemswithout being abused like that!
Call and register the car with acura and ask if any `recalls open` and are you covered by the 7/109 trans warranty extension?- not all 03s are
