03 TL Type-S Strut Problem

Hi, I was wondering if anyone can help me? My car is lowered on Eibach Pro-Kit with KYB GR-2 struts. I have a annoying rattle/clunk like noise coming from my passenger side on my car. It makes noise with the smallest bumps on the road. The top part of the strut where the nut is exposed when the hood is open won't stay centered (Pics below). At first it was centered, so I didn't think it was the strut rod bushings, because I replaced them when I had the springs installed. Can anyone tell me how I can fix this? Any help is appeciated Thanks.

What I fixed so far:
Upper control arms w/ ball joints (Both sides)
Lower ball joints (Both sides)
Sway bar bushings
Sway bar end-links (both sides)
Strut rod bushings (both sides)

you need to tighten that nut. the noise that you are hearing is the clunk of the washer hitting the nut. if you are running out of threads on the strut use some washers. that nut pushes down on that rubber bushing to keep the shock in place. do it asap. you can possibly do some serious damage.

source: i had the same problem.

Thanks for the reply. But I have tighten the nut before. But the big washer and top nut won't go back to being centered. The noise just keeps coming. I can try it again though.

you need to put a lot of force on that rubber bushing to keep that thing centered and fixed. from what i can see in those pictures, you dont have that many threads exposed on the strut. you can tighten it much more. the big washer should be pushing down quite a bit into the bushing.

just keep tightening and test driving until you hear the noise stop. if that doesnt fix it....sorry i wasted your time lol.
