Hey guys I just would like to know your suggestions and opinions on what to do with my 03 TL-S. I bought it back in September of 2012 with 127k miles. Bought from first owner who was a woman in her 30s. I loved it when I first saw it. After driving a few days I noticed the car jerks from 1st to 3rd. In sport mode it would not want to go from 2nd to 3rd unless tried switching up a gear twice. From what I have been reading on the forums the transmissions in our cars tend to fail in most of them. Is this a sign of failure already? Another thing I want to add is that she lied to me saying that it was never in an accident. One day I removed the front bumper and noticed that the front frame was welded (still has a clean title for idk what reason) Should I keep it and work on it and swap the manual in there or just sell it and get something else? I can't stand the jerking everyday

 

Whats the trans fluid look like? Take out all the shift solenoids and clean or replace them and see if that helps shifting.

Car was in a bad accident in the past basically. Has junkyard parts and surprisingly still is a clean title

 

But i asked, what did you mean the frame was welded? As in how and where that you saw? Clean title isnt surprising at all. Just because it was in an accident and repaired doesnt mean it was totaled and given a salvaged title.
