Hi, I'm fairly new to the forum and was wondering a couple of things. My passenger headlight bulb on my 99 TL is slowing getting dimmer and starting to go out (14 year old factory bulb!) And I already found the bulb (sylvania d2r, yes? No?) Is there a thread here on how to replace the headlight bulb? I've heard that I'm going to need to remove the front bumper cover... Is that really necessary?
Another question I had was regarding the silver plastic shifter plate, can't find any on sale and mine is cracked and have of it is broken off. (Old car :p)

Replace BOTH bulbs, not just one. No you dont need to remove the bumper, both can be replaced from up top.

Either look on ebay or the dealer. Its only 6 bucks from the dealer Part # 54716-S0K-A01ZA

 

Thanks guys I appreciate it. Just ordered new shifter plate for $7 didn't know it was that easy. I still can't find step by step DIY for replacing low beam headlights.
