03 TL-S Dreaded transmission problem... VIN out of range
I used the search function to try and find a definite answer, but can't find anything conclusive or useful.
Tonight driving home I noticed my transmission starting to slip. Fearing the dreaded transmission problem, I started reading up and it seems like it seems to happen about this point in the age of the car -- it has 102k on it.
I bought this car from the same dealership my parents have been purchasing cars from since 1988 -- 4 of them, 5 including mine -- and the same dealership my parents always took their vehicles in for repair, paying full retail prices.
What should I expect my Acura dealer to be telling me?

here is the DIY list, on it is a thread with all the vin numbers for differnt problems
https://acurazine.com/forums/2g-tl-1999-2003-98/new-official-2nd-gen-tl-diy-thread-706083/
or call service dept and ask them to run your vin
with such good `family brand loyalty`- you should get substancial help --if its not a covered vin

My 03 was too late and was out of the VIN range. At 64k started having trans problems so I took it to Acura. They inspected, said trans was bad, said it wasn't covered under the recall because of the VIN - however, he called corporate and they gave the green light to to a goodwill replacement.
They gave us a practically new TSX to drive and about 3 days later we had a new trans. Unforutately, the replacement just died, 64k miles later.
