'03 TL, Removing Wood Console Trim

I bought a BlitzSafe adapter for my car and want to install it.

I am looking for tips on how to safely remove the wood console trim. I've searched multiple sites. Most links/pdfs are invalid, and ones that do outline radio removal only mention to "remove the wood trim" with no mention of specifically how to do it.

Do I just yank anywhere in any direction, pry it with a screwdriver? Or is there a preferred method to removing the wood piece?

Thanks for the help!

if your talking about the long strips on both sides of the console start at the back and lightly pry, probably dont even need tools. to reinstall start at the top and make sure the tabs are in the right position so you dont break them

Thanks, I got it.

Now stuck at getting the damn plug in the back of the changer. Gonna have to wait until my wife gets off work and utilize her skinny arms.
