03 tl FRONT END PROBLEM
03 tl FRONT END PROBLEM
Hi this is Bruce, The Bald Guy,
thanks for letting me in, I hope I’m posting the correct spot, my wife and I just purchase a 03 TL, with about 35000 on it (former lease). Real nice cars, better than the 00 Max we had, anyway, when were driving I can hear a constant hmmm, yeah like that helps you!! Sorry, it will continuously clunk (it really felt like a bad tire) on a hard right hand turn at about 50-55 MPH, I brought the car to two different service shops and both places said either wheel bearings or axles, (both agreed it wasn’t a tranny problem thankfully). I had an appt with the dealer on Wednesday. I got there and I made the service manager get in the car with me and we took a ride, I made sure he heard the noise, and even when I told him what diagnosis I received from my guys, he says it could be the caliper,
then he tells me no loaner car toady I have to comeback Monday, and they also told me they would order the lug nut lock key (which 3 weeks ago when we bought it). This is like the 3rd time they blew me off… I have been reading some post about the horror stories with some of these Acura dealers. I am the type of person that does NOT play well with other
and I’m really trying, but, not for too much longer, I ended up getting the lock lugs off myself and I rotated the tires, no help, I couldn’t afford the extended warranty like another $2200.00,
my wife drives almost 500 miles a week so I will only have the original warranty until this December. I’m open to any helpful info and do greatly appreciate it. Thanks BTBG

My suggestion at this point is to change dealers. Factory warranty is applicable at any authorized dealer. These guys your dealing with are obviously unwilling to help and in turn losing money because of it.
Take it to another dealer take the same approach; meaning- test drive with tech or service manager and go from there.
I would not mention all this other diagnosis that was done at other shops. Dealers hate it when you go in and try to tell them what you were told was wrong.
especially when it was by a tire shop or what not.
Just explain the symptoms your experiencing and go from there.
Request a loaner when setting up your appointment and be cool dont be dick.
