02' TL-S check engine light on after rain/snowstorm
My 2002 TLS has been running like a top w/ no mechanical problems and only has 60K miles on it. I'm in Seattle and it snowed on Saturday and has been raining like crazy ever since (Sun and Mon). This morning my "check engine" light was on and my brakes felt a little odd and made a funny noise when I first hit them after only driving maybe 20 feet or so. I drove it to work today and the brakes are fine but the light is still on. Does anyone know what might have caused this and/or how to remedy it w/o taking it into the dealer? I read (on another website) about someone having a similiar issue after a rainstorm w/ their 2000 TL and there was mention of a "fuel air meter" but there were no remedies offered up. Thanks and as always I greatly appreciate everyone's feedback on this site!!!!!!!!!!

hey jerry, i'm surprised you didn't get a reply sooner. if you allready took the car to the dealer let us know, but i'm thinking it's a coincidence. your brakes are not connected to the check engine light to my knowledge and if it's right after a big snow/rainstorm your brakes may have just been sticking or the rotors may have had a light patina of rust that your pads were scraping on.
the light itself could be caused by many things, so your best bet is to head to autozone or pepboys or advance auto and get a free scan, or if you prefer the dealer just let us know what they say.
