01 TL Shift knob removal?

01 TL Shift knob removal?

anyone know how to do it?

Turn counter-clockwise hard.
The first time you do it, it seems like you're breaking something. But you're not. It'll let loose a bit, then you just keep turning and it comes right off. Easy as peach pie.

It seems like the shaft is flexing alot. And I really dont want to break that off inside the Tranny... This F(@#r is tight!!!

For 1 its not connected to the tranny so you wont break any thing in the tranny. 2, its really tight. Just turn hard and dont be afraid

Yea it was a biatch to loosen up. I was scared to but put a lil elbow grease and it should pop loose.

Thanks for the votes of confidence. It came loose pretty easy once I wasnt afraid to break something.
