00 TL wiring. need help! :(

00 TL wiring. need help! :(

hey guys,
So im new to this stuff and i installed a new HID wiring for my TL and the HID work great..BUT, my signals dont work anymore. left or right. AND whenever i turn on my headlights my reverse lights come on and just say on. Of course it looks like my wiring is messed up. could anyone help me or direct me to the right direction to fix this..thanks guys..

How exactly did you hook up the HIDs? Did you hook it up to the old headlight wiring or did you hook it up tot he fuse box?

Just as a general caution, it's possible to fry some incredibly expensive components in a TL if you're not careful.

If you're not sure about what you're doing you might want to pay a pro to complete the wiring.

i hooked it up to the old headlight wiring. is it wrong?

i know what you mean. I have 2 tl's. I have a 00 TL and an 05 TL. I like to learn and do stuff on my own on the 00 TL. only pro's touch the 05

re-explain what you did. First, why did you redo your wiring? 2nd How did you do it.

1: I re-did my wiring because one side ballast went out and the bulb. So i bought a bran new set for both sides. (2 ballast, 2 bulbs, 2 wires etc for both sides). I wired them up like the old ballast was. just scripped the main wire and taped them together.

does that help?

Why did you have to touch any of the wiring?? All that stuff should have been plug and play

Then i would say that some of the wiring isnt correct. If it was wired correctly there wouldnt be any issues

With out knowing what wires you used for what we really cant help you
