(sign of desperation, trying to grasp at something, always referring back to my 20's, as if that's something i'm ashamed of )

the engine compartment looks awesome.... i really like what you did there. As for the interior mod, I could take it or leave it. I actually like the wood grain or the black composite looks the best. You definately need to paint the side panels to match whatever you go with IMHO.

Props to you for having the guts to do something different... and then to be brave enough to post to theese jackals!!!! heehee. they sense weakness.... don't show any!

thanks man, i just didn't like the idea of the wood being "fake", having cars w/ real wood in them, it just didnt look right IMO. Belive me, as soon as this stupid summer class is over i'll be getting those door trims painted as well

Great job, I like it. Can you tell me how you remove the center console side panels and the shift gate? I want to do something similar in carbon fiber. thanks

well they just pop off. for the center console, start under the armrest and work your way up. for the shiftgate, the ring pops off and you need to remove the shiftknob to take off the shiftgate itself

i think it looks good together.
I'll agree with that, they do look nice next to each other. I just think that from the pictures they don't look nice in the interior as a whole, maybe if there was something else painted, maybe if it was all just anthracite.

Props for doing something different.

How much of a pain is it to paint the wood pieces? For the door panel pieces, do they just pop out of the door or what?

Did you sand them first, the paint and clear coat them?

Looks awesome though!! My TL is anthracite, so I would love to get either the black wood, or paint mine anthracite as well.
