Hey guys,

Has anyone taken their Type-S rims and painted them a different color? I know most guys opt to dip their rims in chrome, and I agree that it's a great look for the car, but has anyone gone the gunmetal or black paint route? I'm interested in maybe painting the Type-S rims in a gunmetal color because it wouldn't be too expensive ($300, maybe?) plus my rims are pretty scratched so I really want something different. If anyone has pics please share. Thanks!

 

I think gunmental would be cool. What price did you get?

 

Some stupid woman hit my car on Flatbush Avenue, but the car is in the shop now and as soon as I get it out of there I'm going to sell the chrome rims I have on the car right now. My Type-S rims are kind of scratched up and I really want to try something different.

I figure gunmetal would give the rims a look similar to the TSX Silver Star wheels, which I happen to like a whole lot.

 

A friend painted his rims gunmetal and i think it looks pretty good. he did it himself and it looks great on a black car. i cant paint for shit though lol
