Tanginaglaz - first of all you need to remove the trim from the hood, to do this you need 10mm socket, when removing this piece the (4) clips are going to break so be prepared to go to the dealer to buy new ones (clip and nut are sold separately and you'll need them both), next remove the long plastic piece that covers the top of the headlight assembly and grille, it is held on with plastic push type pins, once that is off you're ready to attack the grille, for this you're going to need a flat tool & patience ie; small pry bar or paint scraper as it is held on with the same push pins as the top plastic piece the only thing is they are upsidedown and attached to the bumper cover, just push the pin back through itself, its much easier than trying to get under to take them out the conventional way (or by taking the entire front bumper cover off), once you get that off you need to remove the trim from the grille, pretty self explanitory just a bunch of phillips head screws once everything is off you're ready to paint, I used Krylon plastic paint & primer, the only thing is make sure that you sand all the chrome finish off or the paint won't adhere properly, hopefully this helps as I didn't take pictures when I did it

Why the discrepency?

Why the discrepency?
A bit of confusion here
I guess the question is, the only mention of rockblocker in this thread is on TlsNavi03's sig (not mezzerTL-S, the one who posted this thread). Furthermore, TlsNavi03 states in the sig rockblocker smoked tails (to be installed).
You are correct, however, in the link provided below you can see about 1/3 down the page (the 2g directory) he lists his mods. The list of his mods lucidly states he does in fact have rear rockblocker tint. I then searced his started threads, saw the thread we are in now and posed my question. After your inital comment I just PMed him. However if anyone can intelligently answer my initial query: Why is his taillight tint not very dark as opposed to LacVeits? I would really appreciate it.
Thanks in advance guys

Ok were getting somewhere. From what I gather, one might assume that the pics shown on this thread are without the rockblocker installed. One of the local guys that attends our Acurazine meets has the rockblocker tints installed on the sidemarkers and rear tails of this 3G and they are definitely much darker than the tails you see in this thread. You might want to check this page out, you can really tell the difference with rockblocker installed: http://www.rockblocker.net/asdy234dl.htm
This is from the rockblocker website:
