Hey... I just bought a silver 2002 acura tl and I am interested in getting tinted windows . Does anyone have suggestions on what type of tinted windows to get and what percentage around? Thanks.

20 around is the perfect combo. you can see out at night and during the day you can just about see in.

it all really depends on your state and how many times your willing to pay a tint ticket.

this is 20 all around,

I went with 30% because its legal in Ohio. Anything darker then the cops mess with you. Also find a window tinter that has the computer program and tint cutter that allows the rear window to be done in one piece. My rear window is one piece and it looks awesome, no lines. All my tinter does is type in the kind of car it is, load the tint and the machine cuts all the pieces out perfectly. I'm sure somebody in your area has that kind of machine. Make sure you gat a one piece rear window though.

Good looks, you def want to go to a place using a computer programmed cutting device, id go with either 20 or 35% all around

I did limo (5 %) in rear and 35 in front. Looks really good, front looks like 20. I got limo because I have monitors in the headrests.
I went with 35 for the front because cops might hate on the kid
At night it difficult to look out, I almost backed out into a pole. I might have to get a back up camera.

I went with 33% on the sides and 20% on the rear windshield. I've noticed that the same tint level can look different on cars with different interiors. That is to say, 33% looks darker on a car with a dark interior versus one with a light interior.

I have 30% on my WDP TL-S and it has a black interior. The windows look like they have a light tint during the day and that perfect look at night. I think anything more then 30% might be asking for trouble. I belive 30% is legal nationwide. We have had people from Florida come to Ohio on vacation and the cops seem to always mess with them because dark tint is allowed in Florida. Nothing would ruin a vacation like going somewhere and getting a ticket.

if you get a metalized tint do not let him tint over the antenna at the top of the rear window. get it sprayed out. metalized tint will destroy your navi signal. i sprayed out mine and i think it lookes great. and my antenna still works. also if you use non metalized film dont get it over the antenna because it looks like shit.

https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=134160<<<< sprayed out.

Computer cut tints don't always mean that the tinter is good in any way. I think that a tinter who cuts his own tints can probably get closer to the edges of the windows. if your from the tri-state arealike myself the best tint shop is lorenzo's in teh bronx he is simply amazing i had 15% all around excpet the front on my legend and then i got into an accident and now i have a 03type-s

I'm sure that there are alot of great window tinters out there that cut their tint by hand. I just know for a fact that hand cutting a one piece rear window is a bitch. The computer cut tint in the hands of a good tinter is a very clean professional look. Like anything the tint is only as good as the person installing it.
