Time to clean the C2's

Well i decided it was time to pull them out of winter storage to give them a good cleaning/polishing. As those that have them or know about them they have a lot of screws on the face. Well trying to polish around them was becoming a pain. Soooooo i decided to take them all out

Before (mostly brake dust and road grime)

Durring (i used buffing wheels with the drill with Mothers Billet Polish, then went over it with Flitz)

After

I Got all the bolts put back in, lock tighted and torqued properly, none leak air (as i had one start leaking last summer so i know they can)

Enjoy...

(yes i still have one that has curb rash. I ground the rash down so it doesnt show as much, but i still plan on having it repaired)

I honestly think it was faster to take all those out than to try to polish around them. Last time i cleaned them my fingers were in agony from running into each bolt. This took maybe 2.5 hrs for all 4, it usually took 1-2 for each. Im happy with the turnout.

Thanks. Though i dont want any more aggressive, I need the ground clearance i have, i need the wheels not to have a ton of camber because i average 50k miles a year. Plus i dont like stretched tires, i like fat tires. Next up are 255s

I used felt and cotton wheels. You can get them at sears in various (from 1" to 6") sizes with attachments for drills

Awesome wheels. They've been a long time favorite. What did you torque them to? I'm about to put mine back together.
