Question Something I noticed on 02/03 headlights... especially on blacked out ones

I'm planning on blacking out my headlights this week and after looking at some pictures of the 02/03 TL's with painted housings, I noticed that no one (that I've seen) has this edge area (outlined in red in the picture) painted. Is it not possible to get to? I haven't baked my headlights yet so I'm not exactly sure what's going on from behind. I really would like to have the whole thing blacked out excluding the chrome around the blinker, and maybe the parking lights, dunno.

Also I was wondering if anyone sanded away the text on the inside that says "Honda blah blah Stanley"?
