^not much of a lug expert, but are they harder to steal because the spline of the lug is all the way down there (requiring a long socket to reach it?)

Theres alot of lug nuts out there to choose from, short, long, closed, open etc. Regular lug nuts have a basic flat side shape, more common for people to have.

Spline lugs however i dont see many people have, for example you can tell the difference, a spline lug nut key wont fit into a regular lug nut. Vice versa

My friend did his own on his lancer and said it was a very easy job. 30 mins just for both front rotors. But on mine im guessing it'll take twice as long because our cars are old, his was pretty new. But yea im planning to do it on my own.

Yeah good luck. Like you said our cars are old. Easy jobs just aren't as easy anymore. Also, a lot of the 3G guys have trouble putting in the extended studs because there's not enough room behind the hub or something. I think they had to cut some stuff up. You may run into the same problem. Maybe you could do a DIY if it goes smoothly?

Yea they ran into the problem cause of the rotor dust shield. I really dont care for mines so yes im gonna be cutting into it to make everything much easier. Ill try to make a DIY if i remember. Hands might be too dirty to hold the DSLR etc but ill see.
